Legend of Catachan: rescue danger and grenade evolution

The reported Catachan rescue is guarded by Warriors whose Synapse Emitters strengthen nearby enemies. Build up the run before challenging that encounter. His documented base weapon is Frag Grenade; its October reported companion is Bandolier.

Reach the objective without relying on a fixed route

Follow the question-mark rescue method and expect a guarded fight. The IGN author reached Catachan after travelling northeast for nearly two minutes in one run. That is a reported route example, not a universal coordinate, timer, movement-speed check or required level.

The official faction reveal explains that removing a Synapse source can temporarily stun nearby lesser Tyranids. It supports prioritising strengthening enemies when you can reach them safely, but it does not promise that every Warrior in this particular encounter has the same universal kill sequence.

Ripper Pistol may be an addition, not a replacement

One current-demo player reports receiving a bonus poisoned Ripper Pistol while keeping the grenade. Treat that as a reported Catachan observation, rather than the rule for every evolution. If you still see the grenade after the upgrade, this report explains why that alone need not mean the evolution failed.

No grenade interval, poison value or exact Bandolier level is established. Learn the broader Synapse and enemy warning signals before turning this rescue into your next goal.
