Lasgun: Gauntlet, Meltagun and the Trooper ally

The October report pairs Lasgun with Gauntlet to produce Meltagun. Lasgun also has a separate ally role: the current hands-on describes selecting it after rescuing Trooper Kozlowski to bring him into the run.

What the base Lasgun does

The official survivor reveal describes Lasgun firing at the nearest enemy. It links weapon levels to squadmates joining Kozlowski, and the current hands-on also observes troop growth. This gives a reason to develop the weapon beyond simply acquiring it, without implying a known troop count at each level.

Older “no evolution” advice is out of date for this list

May-demo comments said Lasgun had no evolution. The October community table reports Meltagun instead. Use the October pairing for this guide’s version; the new table still does not give a maximum level or general trigger rule.
